Deborah Slappey Pitts’ writings of short stories, essays, and poetry span some 35 years, beginning with her first poem, The Beginning and the End, penned during her high school years.

I Feel Okay is her first published novel. Deborah resides in Columbus, Georgia with husband, Marshall Pitts. She holds a B.S. degree in Marketing from Georgia Southwestern University, Americus, Georgia and a M.B.A. degree from Albany State University, Albany, Georgia.

The former Deborah Maxine Terry is an associate director of software testing at TSYS, Inc., Columbus, Georgia. She is a member of the Church of Christ at 3013 Cusseta Road, Columbus, Georgia.
